About Hello Paris

Hello Paris, the operator appointed by the government, is responsible for designing the CDG Express passenger experience, recruiting and training staff, and maintaining the rolling stock.

Today, Paris is one of the last major cities in the Western world not to have a direct rail service between the airport and the city centre.

Hello Paris, your train manager

Hello Paris is a rail company set up to operate the CDG Express. It was formed through the merger of two leading public transport operators: Keolis and RATP Dev, on an equal footing.

This backing provides a guarantee of financial stability:

  • financial, to fund the €260 million investment and absorb the uncertainties of ramp-up during the first years of operation;
  • operationally, through access to the parent companies’ expertise and resources (procurement, engineering, safety expertise, lessons learnt);
  • organisational, through lessons learnt from large-scale projects such as hospitality services during the Olympic Games or the consortium deployed in Doha, which demonstrated the duo’s ability to combine their cultures under operational pressure.

This consortium was formed in 2018 to address the project’s challenges and meet the government’s expectations. It brings together the proven expertise of both operators: rail operations, managing dense networks, urban integration and service quality. An essential combination for a rail link that is also integrated into a complex mass transit system.

Two founding shareholders

Hello Paris embodies a high standard of rail service: reliability, punctuality, comfort and seamless integration into passengers’ journeys. It coordinates expertise in rail, airports and urban mobility, working closely with:

Hello Paris bears full responsibility for the operation of the service as well as thefinancing of the investments required for the service (€260 million). It ensures the safety of operations, the reliability of the service, the maintenance of trains, the quality of passenger information and the continuity of operations, in close collaboration with its partners. On 17 February 2026, the company obtained its Single Safety Certificate (SSC) issued by the European Railway Agency, certifying its regulatory compliance and its ability to operate trains on the national rail network.

A company on a human scale

Hello Paris employs 170 staff members in its operations. Its size is a strength: it reinforces the teams’ presence on the ground and their connection with passengers, whilst offering the agility needed to fully integrate into the Île-de-France rail network. This proximity is both a prerequisite for our operations and an organisational choice: it is through this that we build on the best of the Keolis and RATP Dev cultures.

Hello Paris has decided to set up a driving school specifically for the CDG Express. 10,000 applications were reviewed to select around 60 trainee drivers and supervisors, the majority of whom came from the hospitality and aviation sectors.

At Hello Paris, drivers, train managers, supervisors and reception staff spend one day a week working in a colleague’s role. This versatility is made possible by an initial five-month training programme, designed to forge a shared culture, build operational resilience and develop a genuine customer focus. One of the CDG Express’s promises is that every member of the team remains, naturally and sustainably, at the heart of the passenger experience.

A dedicated maintenance workshop

Operators and maintenance technicians form the technical backbone of the dedicated CDG Express workshop. The operator coordinates and prepares maintenance work: corrective maintenance, preventive checks and scheduling. The technician independently carries out tests, repairs, diagnostics and part replacements. Together, they ensure the safety and reliability of the trains every day.
